Yakyudori in Convoy is one of my favorite spots when I crave Yakitori. It's great because they stay open until midnight. We ordered pork and chicken katsu, steamed and fried dumplings, fried chicken with stir-fried rice, yakitori bacon and asparagus, and chicken gizzards. I miss the food and the place. Even when we're a group of six and it's late in the evening, they're still open. Although the bathroom isn't very clean late at night, the servers are nice and the atmosphere is awesome!

Love this place!! You can never go wrong with the Harami beef, pork belly, chicken thighs, and bacon wrapped asparagus. I usually pair this with the fried rice. The service is very quick and the staff is friendly. If you get a chance to sit at the bar, you can even see them cooking the yakitori in front of you. Everything is fresh and delicious, they never disappoint. 10/10

Great place to go before or after a padres game, they have a little appetizer deal if you're wearing a Jersey on game day. The wings surpassed everyone's expectations, so crisp and juicy. The yakitori was all fair priced and flavorful with every bite. We also grabbed the garlic tonkotsu ramen and every drop of soup was consumed. The service was very attentive and helpful because it was our first time here. Waters were refilled regularly.

This is one of my favorite ramen shops in San Diego. It's a small, cozy restaurant on convoy. I'd say the quality is definitely up there with Menya! My go-to is the spicy tonktosu. The spice level is perfect for me and I love the toppings which is just pork chasu and egg. Not pictured, but I don't know another ramen shop who also sells yakitori?? It's delicious and usually well seasoned They also have takoyaki which again is another nice Japanese cuisine to see on their menu. I also have always loved that the staff yells thank you when you leave. This is the closest restaurant to Japan I feel like you can get in SD.
